Shawn is passionate about blending agribusiness expertise with hands-on experience to advance practical water management and long-term land stewardship.
Shawn operates a multi-generation farm in the Regina area. A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Agribusiness, Shawn combines his education with hands-on farm experience to contribute to the success of the family operation. He thrives on the challenge that farming provides, as no year is ever the same, demanding constant adaptation to shifting weather, markets and soil conditions.
Central to Shawn’s farming philosophy is the belief that effective water management – both surface and tile systems – offer tremendous value to the farm. By combining these methods, water is managed more effectively—reducing salinity, preventing waterlogging and increasing field efficiency and resilience. At the same time, he is committed to being a good steward of the land and environment, ensuring practices minimize negative impacts and promote long term sustainability. He enjoys working alongside his family, collaborating with fellow farmer and industry professionals to share knowledge and tackle challenges together.
